Waterproof Durability. Everyday Control.

Looking for a durable, vegan alternative to leather? The 1.4m Billowthane® Swivel Leash combines our signature Billowthane® TPU material with practical design features to support comfortable, controlled walks in all conditions.

Waterproof, Durable & Easy to Clean
Made from Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), Billowthane® offers a smooth, flexible and waterproof alternative to traditional leather. Designed for everyday adventures, the material is easy to clean and resists water and odour absorption. Its smooth finish also helps reduce the risk of friction burns if the leash needs to be grabbed quickly.

360° Swivel & Secure Clip
Featuring a 360° anti-tangle swivel mechanism, this leash helps prevent twisting as your dog moves, keeping walks more manageable. The bespoke Combat® clip attaches and releases easily from compatible collars and harnesses, and its pressure-tested construction withstands hundreds of pounds of force.

FAQs

How to put a slip lead on a dog

To put a slip lead on your dog, create a loop and slide this over your dog’s head, positioning it just behind their ears. Gently pull on the lead to ensure it’s snug but not too tight, and adjust the rubber stopper so that it’s secure around your dog’s neck. This can provide better control during walks without choking your dog.

Do dogs have to be on a lead?

Dogs should be on a lead in certain areas, including roads, parks, beaches and children’s play areas. Your local council might also have rules for specific places where dogs should be on a lead. However, even in dog parks and fields, it’s important that they are kept under control and that you have a lead on-hand for safety and compliance with local laws.

What is the best lead for dogs that pull?

If you’re struggling with a dog that pulls, having the right lead can make all of the difference. Our training slip leads provide more control without hurting or choking your dog, while our Combat clip leads are a popular choice due to the soft handle that’s comfortable for your hands. Make sure that your lead works well with your chosen collar or harness, which are also important factors when it comes to dogs who pull.

How long should a lead be?

The length of a lead really depends on the situation. A standard length lead (1.2-1.8m) is great for training as well as providing control in busy areas. We also have a Traffic Handle Lead for keeping your dog safe when walking near busy roads. For more freedom on walks, longer leads (up to 10m) allow your dog to explore whilst ensuring they are safely connected to you.
