Product description

Close Control. Everyday Convenience.

From busy pavements to getting your dog settled in the car, the BullyBillows Adjustable Combat® Traffic Leash is designed for situations where keeping your dog close matters. With an adjustable length, soft Neoprene-padded handle and signature colour-matched Combat® clip, it offers a practical solution for close-control handling and compatible vehicle restraint setups.

Adjustable Length for Close Control
When you need your dog close by, a standard-length leash can leave more slack than you want. The Adjustable Combat® Traffic Leash offers a compact design with an adjustable lead length from 48cm to 61cm, allowing you to adapt the fit to suit your handling needs.

Ideal for busy streets, vet visits and other situations where closer handling is useful, it gives you a convenient option when space is limited.

Designed for Comfort
Close-control handling should be comfortable for you, too. The handle features soft Neoprene padding to provide a more comfortable grip during everyday use. Its 3cm width offers a substantial feel in your hand, while the compact design keeps your dog close when needed.

Signature Combat® Clip
Finished with our bespoke, colour-matched Combat® clip, this leash combines practical functionality with the distinctive BullyBillows look. The clip is designed for convenient attachment to our compatible collars or harnesses, making it easy to coordinate with your existing BullyBillows gear.

A Practical Option for Vehicle Restraint
The Adjustable Combat® Traffic Leash can also be used in a suitable vehicle restraint setup, offering another use for its compact design. However, a short leash alone does not guarantee protection in a collision. Always follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions and ensure the restraint is specifically suitable for securing a dog in a vehicle. Never attach a dog to a standard seatbelt in a way that could compromise the seatbelt's operation.

FAQs

How to put a slip lead on a dog

To put a slip lead on your dog, create a loop and slide this over your dog’s head, positioning it just behind their ears. Gently pull on the lead to ensure it’s snug but not too tight, and adjust the rubber stopper so that it’s secure around your dog’s neck. This can provide better control during walks without choking your dog.

Do dogs have to be on a lead?

Dogs should be on a lead in certain areas, including roads, parks, beaches and children’s play areas. Your local council might also have rules for specific places where dogs should be on a lead. However, even in dog parks and fields, it’s important that they are kept under control and that you have a lead on-hand for safety and compliance with local laws.

What is the best lead for dogs that pull?

If you’re struggling with a dog that pulls, having the right lead can make all of the difference. Our training slip leads provide more control without hurting or choking your dog, while our Combat clip leads are a popular choice due to the soft handle that’s comfortable for your hands. Make sure that your lead works well with your chosen collar or harness, which are also important factors when it comes to dogs who pull.

How long should a lead be?

The length of a lead really depends on the situation. A standard length lead (1.2-1.8m) is great for training as well as providing control in busy areas. We also have a Traffic Handle Lead for keeping your dog safe when walking near busy roads. For more freedom on walks, longer leads (up to 10m) allow your dog to explore whilst ensuring they are safely connected to you.
