About personalisation

Important - Creating your unique look with our bespoke stitching/engraving quality could take us up to 5 working days to complete, it's well worth the wait though.

When customising the Combat Range, the adjuster may cover part of the text. The best way to help avoid this is to choose the smallest size which will fit your dog; the adjuster will then be located at the end of the collar away from the name.

Preview images are for illustration only, text and Icons will always be centered neatly on the product. Colours and fonts may change very slightly during production.

We offer personalisation option on almost all of our Collars, Leads and Harnesses. What are the key benefits of adding personalisation to your BullyBillows gear?

1. They're unique to you and your dog.

2. If you have multiple dogs, adding your dogs name can help to distinguish which collar is for which dog.

3. Adding a phone number and Social handle in the unfortunate event of your dog getting lost, this is a very powerful way to ensure your dog can be tracked back to you.

4. If you have a working dog, nervous dog or one who just loves to jump, you can enter names such as POLICE DOG, WARNING, DO NOT PET, NERVOUS etc.

The chest measurement of your dog, or the girth, is the first measurement you’ll need to take. This can be taken by placing the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, usually just behind the front legs.

The next measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the harness is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

Product description

You Spoke, We Listened. The Weighted Harness is back and better than ever.

Back by popular demand, the BullyBillows Weight & Fitness Comfort Harness brings back a customer favourite from 2020 with an enhanced design inspired by our Premium Comfort Harness range.

Designed for strong, active adult dogs, this harness features five integrated Velcro weight pouches, allowing you to customise your setup to suit your dog's needs. Whether you're exploring new training routines or looking to add variety to your dog's exercise, it combines the trusted BullyBillows design with versatile weight options.

Customisable Weight for Your Training Routine
The harness comes with five Velcro pouches, ready to accommodate our specially designed weighted iron blocks, available separately. Alternatively, the pouches can be filled with suitable materials such as sand or pellet weights, provided they are securely contained and evenly distributed.

Start with an appropriate, low load and only increase it gradually if suitable for your dog. The right amount of weight depends on your dog's size, condition and individual needs. Consult your vet before introducing weighted exercise, particularly if you're unsure whether it's appropriate for your dog.

Important: This harness is not recommended for puppies or dogs that are still growing, as additional weight may place unnecessary strain on developing bones and joints.

Comfort Meets Everyday Durability
Inspired by our Premium Comfort Harness design, the harness features a Neoprene-lined interior for a comfortable fit, alongside ample adjustment to help accommodate different body shapes.

Signature Combat® clips on both sides and pressure-tested clip hardware complete the design, while two back attachment points give you flexibility when choosing how to connect your lead.

FAQs

What makes a good dog harness?

A good harness fits snugly without restricting movement, spreads pressure across the chest and shoulders instead of the throat, and has adjustment points that actually work for your dog's shape - not just a "one size fits most" guess. Solid hardware, comfortable padding, and a design suited to how your dog actually walks is what separates a great harness from a flimsy one.

Are harnesses better for dogs?

For most dogs, we recommend walking them with a harness - especially if they’re prone to pulling. This minimises strain on their neck (and the chance of them slipping out and running away), but a well-fitted collar can be fine for short outings or smaller breeds.

Harness or collar? A quick guide.

Harnesses

✅ Better For Pullers
✅ Less Neck Strain
✅ More Secure, Better Control

Collars

✅ Convenient for shorter walks
✅ Useful for ID tags
✅ Fast to put on your pup
You can vary using a collar and a harness depending on the activity. For longer walks, meeting other dogs, or if your dog is a larger breed, a harness is recommended when you’re leaving the house. A collar is plenty if you have a smaller, well-trained dog, if you need something for ID purposes, or if you need to act fast and put a lead on your dog.

Whichever you choose, make sure you choose the right size to make sure your dog is comfortable and safe.

REMEMBER: Use our dog harness/collar size charts, specific to the harness/collar you are considering, to find the best one for your dog - you can find these on our product pages.

How should a dog harness fit?

Your dog’s harness should fit snug, not tight. You should be able to slide two fingers flat under any strap, but no more than that - any looser and your dog could wriggle out, any tighter and you'll cause rubbing. Check the fit around the neck, chest and belly, and recheck after a groom, a growth spurt, or any change in weight. Our size guide on the product page is the best place to start if you're not sure.

What are the types of harnesses?
  • Step-in: quick and fuss-free for dogs who hate things going over their head.
  • Anti-pull (front-clip): redirects pulling back toward you - ideal while you're working on loose-lead walking.
  • Y-shaped like our slip on: follows the natural line of the shoulders for totally unrestricted movement.
  • Boomerang: a secure, snug fit that's brilliant for escape artists.
  • Weight & fitness: built for structured exercise, adding light resistance for dogs building muscle or burning energy.
Step-in: quick and fuss-free for dogs who hate things going over their head.
  • Tri-Harness: three points of adjustment for a genuinely tailored fit as well as 3 clips for full control.
Which breeds are Bullybillows harnesses for?

All of them, honestly. Our range is built around the realities of specific breeds - from giant guardian breeds like Cane Corsos who need serious strength and control, to sensitive sighthounds like Greyhounds who need a snug, escape-proof fit, right through to Staffies, Labradors, Cockapoos and everyone in between. Wherever your dog sits on that spectrum, there's a BullyBillows harness made for them.

How to stop my dog being scared of putting the harness on

Slow down and make it boring. Let your dog sniff and investigate the harness first, pair it with treats and praise, and build up gradually - clip it on for a few seconds, treat, take it off, repeat. Avoid forcing it over their head if they're hesitant; a step-in style is often far less intimidating for nervous dogs. A few short, positive sessions will get you there quicker than one long battle ever will.
