The chest measurement of your dog, or the girth, is the first measurement you’ll need to take. This can be taken by placing the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, usually just behind the front legs.

The next measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the harness is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

Product description

The AIR Mesh Harness combines lightweight construction, breathable materials, and dual‑clip control to support dogs that pull or need steadier guidance. Designed for all‑day comfort, it delivers dependable stability with a cooler, feather‑light feel that keeps your dog moving freely on every walk.

Whether you’re dealing with a dog that pulls, a reactive dog that needs better steering, or simply want a harness that’s comfortable enough for daily walks and long adventures, the AIR Harness is built to solve the everyday challenges dog owners face.

Why Dog Owners Choose the AIR Harness

  • Harnesses that cause rubbing or overheating
  • Dogs slipping out of poorly fitted designs
  • Lack of control during pulling or reactive moments
  • Heavy harnesses that feel restrictive
  • Clips that fail or loosen over time

The AIR Harness was engineered to eliminate these issues - while keeping the same trusted functionality found in our Hurricane Harness range.

Key Features

  • Industrial‑Grade Outer Shell : A durable, weather‑resistant exterior that stands up to daily wear, rain, mud, and adventure.
  • Front & Back D‑Loops: Two reinforced attachment points for complete control. Perfect for dogs that pull or need extra guidance.
    • Front D‑Loop for anti‑pull training and directional steering
    • Back D‑Loop for secure everyday walking
  • Triple‑Stitched Control Handle: A high‑positioned handle gives you instant leverage during busy roads, high‑energy moments, or reactive behaviour - offering collar‑like control without pressure on the neck.
  • Breathable Mesh Interior: Soft, ventilated mesh keeps your dog cool and comfortable, preventing overheating and reducing friction on sensitive skin.
  • Duraflex® Safety Clips: Premium, industry‑leading clips designed for strength, reliability, and long‑term security.
  • Easy‑Adjust Nylon Straps: Achieve a tailored, escape‑resistant fit in seconds. Once adjusted, the straps stay locked in place.
  • Feather‑Light Construction: Engineered to feel weightless while maintaining exceptional durability - ideal for long walks, training sessions, and active dogs

FAQs

How to put on a dog harness

Start by unbuckling the harness and having your dog sit or stand still next to you. Slip the harness over their head and pull the straps underneath their tummy. Or, if you have a step-in harness, place it on the floor and help your dog place their feet correctly, before pulling it up over their back. Fasten it up securely, making sure it’s not too tight or too loose, and adjust accordingly.

What is the best dog harness?

The best dog harness really depends on the breed, size, and activity level of your dog. The comfortable Hurricane Harness features a useful handle and is super lightweight, while the Premium Harness is a great all-rounder for any dog. The traditional slip-on harnesses offer quick and easy fitting, while step-in harnesses might be better for dogs that dislike harnesses going over their head. And if your dog pulls, the TRI-Harness helps with training to prevent excessive pulling on the lead. You can read more in our Dog Harness Buying Guide. All of our harnesses are lined with Neoprene which is soft and helps avoid harsh burns unlike other brands.

How to measure a harness for a dog

To measure your dog for a harness, grab a measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of their ribcage, then measure their neck at the base (where the collar sits and not in the middle of the neck). Make sure that the measurements aren’t too tight, but are secure enough that the harness won’t slip off if your dog pulls.

If you have the harness already, try it on your dog and make sure you can fit two fingers between the harness and their body. Finally, monitor your dog’s behaviour - if they’re showing signs of discomfort or walking awkwardly, it may need adjusting more to suit your dog.

How to use a dog harness correctly

To ensure you’re using your dog harness correctly, you need to make sure it’s properly fitted. This means that it’s tight enough to prevent the harness moving, but loose enough to allow your pooch to move comfortably. Attach your lead to your chosen D-ring, whether that’s on their back or their chest, and get ready for your adventure!
