The width of your dog's nose is relatively easy to measure. Measure with a ruler or taut tape measure just in front of the eyes, i.e. where the muzzle is widest, and read off the value compared to the size guide below.

Don't worry too much regarding sizing of the nylon straps where it is fastened securely around your dogs head and back of the ears, as the muzzle straps are adjustable.

Product description

Safety. Comfort. Confidence.

The Original BullyBillows Dog Safety Muzzle is an ideal entry-level option for owners looking to introduce muzzle training or seeking a practical, budget-friendly solution. Designed with everyday safety and relevant legal requirements in mind, it combines a flexible construction with adjustable straps to help provide a secure, comfortable fit.

Flexible and Durable Design
Crafted from TPE material, similar to silicone, the muzzle offers flexibility and durability for everyday use. Its innovative design helps keep the muzzle securely in place, reducing the risk of your dog slipping out of it.

Comfort Meets Security
The adjustable straps feature soft Neoprene lining, helping provide a snug fit without compromising comfort. Designed to accommodate different breeds, the muzzle is available in sizes from Small to XL.

Finding the Right Fit
Choosing the correct size is essential for your dog's comfort and safety. Always measure your dog carefully before purchasing and ensure the muzzle fits securely without being too tight or too loose.

Muzzle Safety and Training
Introduce the muzzle gradually, allowing your dog time to become comfortable wearing it. Always supervise your dog during initial use and build up wearing time through positive, patient training.

During strenuous activity, it is recommended that muzzle wear is limited to no more than 30 minutes at a time. Longer periods may be suitable during normal walking, provided your dog remains comfortable and is monitored appropriately. Never leave your dog unattended while wearing a muzzle.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 4.6 / 5 from 65 reviews.

We have a two-year-and-two-month-old Bordeaux dog who is incredibly afraid of the vet. I initially ordered size 7, but it was too small for his sagging cheeks. Size 8 fits well and can be adjusted in hot water if necessary (not tried yet).I love all the Bully Billows stuff! Great quality!

Best muzzle ,I have tried , my boy is 50kg with a huge head and all other muzzles gave him marks on his nose or scraped him all the time. he was constantly trying to get it off on walks, despite being muzzle trained since a pup . Since we got his new muzzle he is happy out on walks, the material is so soft and light.

Bought for a bully pocket extreme. The size xl is perfect for him. The fact its not rigid means is more comfortable for him. The straps are strong and hold the muzzle firmly in place. I recommend it.

Customer photo review of Flexible Cage Muzzle - TPE Material - Legal Requirement | S-XL Breeds - Black

An excellent product. I couldn't find a muzzle to fit in my local pet stores so I took to the Internet and found Bully Billows. The muzzle is fantastic quality and fits lovely. It has plenty of space for Holly to open her mouth to pant and cool herself down. Fantastic product and excellent company I would highly recommend.

FAQs

Will a muzzle keep a dog from barking?

Muzzles are primarily designed for safety, such as biting or chewing, rather than to stop barking. Although it can reduce barking, it won’t completely stop it, so it’s important to choose the right muzzle and make sure your dog is comfortable wearing it. This applies to both cage muzzles and fabric safety muzzles too.

How to shampoo a dog

To shampoo your dog, start by wetting their coat with warm water. Apply a dog-friendly shampoo and massage it into their fur and skin, taking good care to not get it in their eyes or ears. Rinse completely, and then apply your doggy conditioner to keep their fur shiny and smooth. Rinse again, then towel try or use a hair dryer on a low heat setting. Then, spray them with your favourite BullyBillows cologne for an unbelievably clean and fresh pooch.

How to muzzle train a dog

Begin muzzle training your dog by introducing it slowly; let them sniff it and investigate the muzzle whilst offering treats, to create a positive association. Start with slow sessions then gradually increase the time that they wear it (making sure that it fits properly) and offer rewards for calm behaviour. Find more information in our insightful blog - How to muzzle train a dog.

How often should you brush your dog?

How often you brush your dog really depends on the breed and coat type. Some long-haired breeds, or double-coated breeds, could benefit from daily brushing to reduce matting, whereas short-haired breeds might only need brushing once a week.

Once you’ve found what works best for you and your dog, keep it up! Regular brushing keeps your dog’s coat healthy and improves skin circulation too. Check out our deshedding brushes and combs for a gentle way to remove loose and unwanted fur.
