When customising the Combat Range, the adjuster may cover part of the text. The best way to help avoid this is to choose the smallest size which will fit your dog; the adjuster will then be located at the end of the collar away from the name.

The chest measurement of your dog, or the girth, is the first measurement you’ll need to take. This can be taken by placing the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, usually just behind the front legs.

The next measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the harness is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

Excellent products and outstanding customer service! I recently ordered an Anti-Pull TRI-Harness from BullyBillows for my American Staffordshire puppy, and I am very impressed with both the product and the company. Unfortunately, the delivery of my original order turned into quite a frustrating experience. The parcel was delayed, SEUR attempted delivery, and eventually the package was incorrectly redirected to a pickup point where it was not actually available. After several weeks, the parcel was eventually returned to BullyBillows. What really impressed me, however, was how BullyBillows handled the situation. I contacted their customer service and was helped by Tomas and the BullyBillows team. Tomas was extremely helpful, friendly and professional throughout the entire process. He personally contacted DPD, kept me updated and continued to look into the situation even though the problems were clearly caused by the carrier. When it became clear that the original parcel was being returned, Tomas offered to send the harness again once it arrived back at their warehouse. I was concerned that this would mean several more weeks of waiting, so I asked if there was any possibility of sending another harness immediately. To my surprise, Tomas made an exception and arranged for a replacement harness to be shipped straight away, without making me wait for the original parcel to return. The second shipment arrived safely, and I finally have the harness. 😊 And the product itself is excellent. The TRI-Harness feels very well made, strong and comfortable, and it gives me much better control during walks while still allowing my puppy to move comfortably. The quality and attention to detail are exactly what I was hoping for. For me, a good company is not only about having good products — it is also about how they treat customers when something goes wrong. BullyBillows really showed that they care about their customers and are willing to go the extra mile to solve a problem. A special thank you to Tomas for his patience, communication and personal help throughout this whole situation. His customer service turned what could have been a very negative experience into a very positive one. I am very happy with my BullyBillows harness and will definitely be buying more products from them as my American Staffordshire puppy grows. Highly recommended — great products and, most importantly, a company that genuinely stands behind its customers! 🐶❤️

Bye-bye sled dog, hello peaceful walks! 🐾 My young Staffy used to think she was a professional husky training for the Arctic, but this anti-pull harness changed the game! Not only does she look absolutely stunning in it, as the harness perfectly matches her beautiful tan coat for a gorgeous tone-in-tone look, but our walks have officially entered a whole new dimension. Really great quality and durable. Looks great with the matching collar and lead. For me personally it hasn't helped with my dog pulling on the lead because when clipped to the front her chest isn't being steered round when pulling and instead the harness itself moves round and then it's all out of place and uncomfortable for her, I have adjusted it so it's tight enough to remain in place when pulling but still ineffective unfortunately - maybe I'm doing something wrong!

He’s had a puppy collar but he’s outgrown it so he needs a 4cm one has he’s getting a big boy. Meet Winston Boy Blue 10ths old rocking his big boy harness from bullybillows. Highly recommend company the accessories are of a very high standard and great customer service too. I also bought a collar for my daughters bully too. Wouldn’t use another brand. Go Bullybillows 🐾🐾

How to put on a dog harness

Start by unbuckling the harness and having your dog sit or stand still next to you. Slip the harness over their head and pull the straps underneath their tummy. Or, if you have a step-in harness, place it on the floor and help your dog place their feet correctly, before pulling it up over their back. Fasten it up securely, making sure it’s not too tight or too loose, and adjust accordingly.

What is the best dog harness?

The best dog harness really depends on the breed, size, and activity level of your dog. The comfortable Hurricane Harness features a useful handle and is super lightweight, while the Premium Harness is a great all-rounder for any dog. The traditional slip-on harnesses offer quick and easy fitting, while step-in harnesses might be better for dogs that dislike harnesses going over their head. And if your dog pulls, the TRI-Harness helps with training to prevent excessive pulling on the lead. You can read more in our Dog Harness Buying Guide. All of our harnesses are lined with Neoprene which is soft and helps avoid harsh burns unlike other brands.

How to measure a harness for a dog

To measure your dog for a harness, grab a measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of their ribcage, then measure their neck at the base (where the collar sits and not in the middle of the neck). Make sure that the measurements aren’t too tight, but are secure enough that the harness won’t slip off if your dog pulls. 

If you have the harness already, try it on your dog and make sure you can fit two fingers between the harness and their body. Finally, monitor your dog’s behaviour - if they’re showing signs of discomfort or walking awkwardly, it may need adjusting more to suit your dog.

How to use a dog harness correctly

To ensure you’re using your dog harness correctly, you need to make sure it’s properly fitted. This means that it’s tight enough to prevent the harness moving, but loose enough to allow your pooch to move comfortably. Attach your lead to your chosen D-ring, whether that’s on their back or their chest, and get ready for your adventure!
