Important - Creating your unique look with our bespoke stitching/engraving quality could take us up to 5 working days to complete, it's well worth the wait though.

When customising the Combat Range, the adjuster may cover part of the text. The best way to help avoid this is to choose the smallest size which will fit your dog; the adjuster will then be located at the end of the collar away from the name.

The chest measurement of your dog, or the girth, is the first measurement you’ll need to take. This can be taken by placing the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, usually just behind the front legs.

The next measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the harness is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

Had this personalised with dogs name so had to wait a bit longer but came before the 10 days that was advised. My dog is only 7 months so had to do a lot of adjusting but was really pleased with the way it fits. The dog always pulls on walks for the wife and really misbehaves. The first time the wife took the dog out with this harness she loved it she had a lot of control over the dog and the pulling was almost gone. A game changer thank you.

This hot pink is Beautiful. When this harness first arrived it was a little snug around her waist but seemed to stretch a bit the longer she wore it. Very sturdy and didn’t have worry about her pulling out of her harness. I placed an AirTag on the side which caused it to shift a little on that side. It’s a great harness and Leash!!

Although she is off the lead here, Aida does pull when on the leash. And as an American Bully XL she would really pull me off my feet if I did not have the tri-harness. I have tried everything with her not to pull, but as she is still a pup, everything is exciting to her. I also love the collar with the handle, as it is good to hold when attaching her to leash. I saw a comment on a Facebook group for Staffy owners which praised your harnesses, I bought a blue one for my Frenchie and a bright pink fo my Staffy cross. They truly are a game changer, pulling has decreaded by easily 85% and they seem calmer and walk better. The lead actually has slack on it when we go for a walk. They love them and happily come to me and dip their heads to put them on. The straps are thick, the hooks are well sewn in and the whole thing is gooood quality. We will definitely not be changing to any other brands.

FAQs

How to put on a dog harness

Start by unbuckling the harness and having your dog sit or stand still next to you. Slip the harness over their head and pull the straps underneath their tummy. Or, if you have a step-in harness, place it on the floor and help your dog place their feet correctly, before pulling it up over their back. Fasten it up securely, making sure it’s not too tight or too loose, and adjust accordingly.

What is the best dog harness?

The best dog harness really depends on the breed, size, and activity level of your dog. The comfortable Hurricane Harness features a useful handle and is super lightweight, while the Premium Harness is a great all-rounder for any dog. The traditional slip-on harnesses offer quick and easy fitting, while step-in harnesses might be better for dogs that dislike harnesses going over their head. And if your dog pulls, the TRI-Harness helps with training to prevent excessive pulling on the lead. You can read more in our Dog Harness Buying Guide. All of our harnesses are lined with Neoprene which is soft and helps avoid harsh burns unlike other brands.

How to measure a harness for a dog

To measure your dog for a harness, grab a measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of their ribcage, then measure their neck at the base (where the collar sits and not in the middle of the neck). Make sure that the measurements aren’t too tight, but are secure enough that the harness won’t slip off if your dog pulls. 

If you have the harness already, try it on your dog and make sure you can fit two fingers between the harness and their body. Finally, monitor your dog’s behaviour - if they’re showing signs of discomfort or walking awkwardly, it may need adjusting more to suit your dog.

How to use a dog harness correctly

To ensure you’re using your dog harness correctly, you need to make sure it’s properly fitted. This means that it’s tight enough to prevent the harness moving, but loose enough to allow your pooch to move comfortably. Attach your lead to your chosen D-ring, whether that’s on their back or their chest, and get ready for your adventure!
