This product

Please be mindful when customising the Combat Range, the adjuster may cover part of the text. The best way to help avoid this is to choose the smallest size which will fit your dog, as a result of this, the adjuster will be located at the end of the collar away from the name. Colours and fonts may change very slightly during production.

Size & fit

The stitching area on our XXS, XS and Small sizes is limited; we advise having a maximum of 6 characters.

About personalisation

Important - Creating your unique look with our bespoke stitching/engraving quality could take us up to 5 working days to complete, it's well worth the wait though.

When customising the Combat Range, the adjuster may cover part of the text. The best way to help avoid this is to choose the smallest size which will fit your dog; the adjuster will then be located at the end of the collar away from the name.

Preview images are for illustration only, text and Icons will always be centered neatly on the product. Colours and fonts may change very slightly during production.

We offer personalisation option on almost all of our Collars, Leads and Harnesses. What are the key benefits of adding personalisation to your BullyBillows gear?

1. They're unique to you and your dog.

2. If you have multiple dogs, adding your dogs name can help to distinguish which collar is for which dog.

3. Adding a phone number and Social handle in the unfortunate event of your dog getting lost, this is a very powerful way to ensure your dog can be tracked back to you.

4. If you have a working dog, nervous dog or one who just loves to jump, you can enter names such as POLICE DOG, WARNING, DO NOT PET, NERVOUS etc.

The neck measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the collar is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

This 2.5cm width is suitable for puppies, small and growing breeds upwards to medium breeds such as Poodle, Frenchies, Bulldogs, Terries and Staffies.

Product description

BullyBillows wants to welcome you to our CountryCollection.

This range of products consists of 5x Tweed and 3x Herringbone sets from our Premium Harness, Combat Collars and Combat Leads. All the same sizing and price as their nylon counterparts, what is not to LOVE about that?

Tweed and Herringbone is renowned in Scotland, offering durable, yet stylish patterns and colours that we had to bring to life here at BBHQ.

Made from woven wool, Tweed was originally designed for Scottish farmers and then also used by the Scottish armies for centuries past. It is eye-catching and classy!

Our Tweed sets are a bit more darker with deep, dark colours. Whereas the Herringbone designs offer a light, pastel range of colours. Whichever you pick, you're sure to stand out in the dog park!

FAQs

What is the best dog collar?

The best dog collar really depends on the breed, size and activity level of your dog. Slip-on collars are great to assist training your dog that pulls, whereas a Combat collar is perfect for everyday use and comes in various thicknesses, from 2.5cm for smaller breeds to 5cm for XL breeds. Our pin buckle collars are also a great choice among medium to XL dog owners, and the Billowthane collar range is 100% waterproof, ideal for pooches who love water! Read more in our Collar Buying Guide to find the right collar for your dog.

How tight should a dog collar be?

Similar to harnesses, a dog collar should be snug but not too tight. We’d recommend being able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck - if you can fit more than two fingers, the collar may be too loose and could slip off. If you can’t fit two fingers, it might be too tight for your dog causing discomfort and potentially breathing difficulties.

Do dogs have to wear collars?

It’s a legal requirement for dogs to wear collars with ID tags when in public. The tag needs to display your name and address to help reunite you and your dog if they ever get lost. We know that a lot of owners prefer using harnesses, but a collar and ID tag are essential to comply with UK law when you’re out in public, so make sure you’ve got both on if needs be.

How do you measure a dog collar?

To measure a dog collar, wrap a flexible measuring tape around the base (the lower sections) of your dog’s neck whilst leaving enough room to fit two fingers in between. A lot of collars are adjustable, which is ideal for a puppy as you can simply extend the collar as they grow into it.
