The neck measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the collar is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

This 4cm width collar is suitable for medium-large breeds such as Frenchies, Staffies, Spaniels, German Shepherds, Huskies and upwards. If your dog is smaller or larger than these breeds, please see our 2.5cm and our 5cm collar versions.

This 4cm width Combat® collar is pressure tested and equipped with a secure 6mm width Stainless Steel D Loop plus our signature rated clip for quick release and lock. Our clips have undergone rigorous pressure testing giving you peace of mind when out with your dog.

For extra security, the clip must be opened by pressing both levers simultaneously. For your dog's comfort, the collar is lined with neoprene - odourless, water resistant and gentle on fur. Easily adjustable size with a metal adjuster. Suitable for daily use with any breed, from staffies to Rottweilers. Additionally, used by professional dog handlers, police and military.

A strong collar, pressure tested, rated clip. This collar is exactly what it says on the tin.

A stylish pup is a happy pup! Your designs are amazing, giving a military vibe which is our lifestyle and above all - quality is a top notch! Material is amazing and clasps are very strong and secure. Shipping was at lightning speed, got our products in three days! Only one down side is we figured personalisation of the products way too late. ☹️ BUT we will definitely try it out in the future. Keep up the good work!

Arrived promptly and very nicely packaged. The collar itself is made well enough and looks strong. Sadly in less than a week paint on the collar buckle has already started to come off making the collar look worn and old already. Having been an engineer for over 35 yrs and now retired I help build maintain and race historic race cars so I also know paint and it’s simply cheap thin coated paint used on these collars. I did email BB however am yet to receive a reply which is in keeping with an I replied email I sent weeks before making a purchase. So in summing up, I’d say BB are quick to take your money and ship quickly however the quality of paint used is inferior, in addition there seems to be zero customer service. Sadly won’t use again.

What is the best dog collar?

The best dog collar really depends on the breed, size and activity level of your dog. Slip-on collars are great to assist training your dog that pulls, whereas a Combat collar is perfect for everyday use and comes in various thicknesses, from 2.5cm for smaller breeds to 5cm for XL breeds. How tight should a dog collar be?

Similar to harnesses, a dog collar should be snug but not too tight. We’d recommend being able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck - if you can fit more than two fingers, the collar may be too loose and could slip off. If you can’t fit two fingers, it might be too tight for your dog causing discomfort and potentially breathing difficulties.

Do dogs have to wear collars?

It’s a legal requirement for dogs to wear collars with ID tags when in public. The tag needs to display your name and address to help reunite you and your dog if they ever get lost. We know that a lot of owners prefer using harnesses, but a collar and ID tag are essential to comply with UK law when you’re out in public, so make sure you’ve got both on if needs be.

How do you measure a dog collar?

To measure a dog collar, wrap a flexible measuring tape around the base (the lower sections) of your dog’s neck whilst leaving enough room to fit two fingers in between. A lot of collars are adjustable, which is ideal for a puppy as you can simply extend the collar as they grow into it.
